On behalf of the new IAGS Executive Board, we would like to convey our greetings and appreciation for our election. We’re happy to report that the state of the IAGS is strong as we enter the 2013-15 term. The financial situation is stable, due to the great achievements of the previous Board.

Dear Colleagues,
 
As our Executive Board term draws to a close at the biennial meeting in Siena this week, we’re happy to report on two last items.
 
First, following the recommendation of the Journal Transition Committee, we have finalized and signed an agreement with the University of South Florida, which will serve as the host of our e-journal.

PRESS RELEASE: 10th International Conference of the International Association of Genocide Scholars

On June 19, 2013, the Chancellor of the University of Siena, Angelo Riccaboni; an officer for the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Italy; Professor Marcello Flores of the University of Siena; and Professor Alexander Hinton, outgoing President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS), officially opened the 10th biennial conference of the IAGS.

Statement: After serving IAGS for three terms, I have gained experience and knowledge that are essential for a Presidency. When I ran for First Vice-President, I promised to enhance our social media presence, to develop resources on trials, genocide prevention, and to increase the exchange between Anglosaxon and non-Anglosaxon perspectives.
