Applied Briefs

Applied briefs pertain to the many other endeavors that IAGS members undertake that are not specifically research or teaching. As such, the main goal of an applied brief is to share information about applied endeavors. For instance, a photographer could write about emerging insights or reflections on the use of human subjects, the head of a nonprofit organization could write a brief regarding advocacy efforts toward a specific goal, or a lawyer could weigh in on a recent case. Although this is consequently the broadest of the three types of briefs, it nonetheless represents an important part of IAGS members’ work.
